Purbeck District Council launch 2016 Purbeck Pledge

 After last year’s successful re-launch, Purbeck District Council and Dorset County Council are again running the Purbeck Pledge this September. It’s designed to encourage residents and visitors to enjoy the lovely scenery and open air we all take for granted in the Purbeck region while at the same time helping us to keep fit and healthy.

The pledge takes place in September and will again be promoted by the council in print, on-line and social media formats. The printed copies of the maps will be placed in libraries, tourist information, leisure centres, council offices, holiday parks as well as being made freely available electronically on the Dorset For You website.

As part of the ever-increasing activity of this annual event, the councils are producing an A2 map which is folded down for people to easily pick up and carry when they are looking for and/or doing their events. You can see an example of the map below (click on the map to show an enlarged version):

 You’ll see there are advertising spaces of various sizes and costs, all these spaces offer you a heightened platform to help promote your company to the many locals using the map and with prices starting from around £150 it represents extremely good value and means advertisers will have a constant presence before and during the Purbeck Pledge.

Speaking at the Guide launch Jason Harris, Director of IMS Group said “We are delighted to be working again with Purbeck District Council on this exciting project. The prices for the individual spaces are shown on the example above with spaces along the top measuring 48mm x 48mm. PLEASE NOTE – The map shown is from  a previous edition, the companies also shown are not necessarily booked into the 2016 version so please check with your representative.

The copy deadline for artwork is mid-June (exact date TBC) and the maps will begin distribution in July at high foot-fall venues across Purbeck including Libraries, Council buildings, Fitness venues, Local sports/activity shops, pubs & cafe’s, and even Swanage Carnival.
